Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas!!! Or so we think...
If you are keeping up with my blog adventures, you'll know that I recently spent some time in the ER. I had a lot of bad germies in my belly that a special doctor needed to get rid of. After a day or so of feeling and acting better, mommy and daddy thought it was OK to take a trip to see Grandma and the rest of daddy's family in Rochester, NY for the Christmas holiday (like we do every year). So, we packed the car up nice and tight with a whole bunch of stuff and hit the road on Monday December 22 (a few days later than we were supposed to since I had to go to the ER). I was doing a lot better by this time, and luckily mommy and daddy hadnt caught the germies that I had. The special ER doctor told them that it might happen 2 - 3 days later but maybe they would get lucky.
So around 10 am Monday morning, we hit the road. Only to find out that there is a road closure for 124 miles between PA and Rochester - EXACTLY Where we were headed (or so we thought). Except that the news report we heard was not very specific so mommy and daddy didnt know which way to drive. We didnt want to get stuck, but they thought we might not have a choice but to go the long way. So after many phone calls, we ultimately decided to go the long way (up the NY state thruway) to be safe. In the end, turns out that the road closure was from 2am - 10 am the NIGHT BEFORE on a road no where near PA, so by the time we would hit that area, it would presumably be open regardless. Well, the man on the radio didnt say any of that (Grandma looked it up online for us while we were driving and told us that) so we had no idea. About an hour into the trip, we stopped for gas so we could drive a long way without stopping. I was about to take a LONG nap so mommy and daddy wanted to do it while I was still awake (so they didnt disturb me). After the rest stop for gas and a diaper change, we got back on the Thruway. I was starving so mommy gave me a yogurt for lunch and man did I have to poop after that. Since I had so many germies in my belly the few days earlier, I hadnt eaten any dairy food, but the doctor said that yogurt would be OK, so mommy listened. Well, being strapped into a car seat when you have to poop is excrutiating, and I was letting them both know that. I started screaming as loud as I could until all the poop came out. Since I was sitting, it came out of my brand new fresh diaper, and it went all the way up my back to my neck and out the sides to my legs. Oh, and did I mention that the car had stopped moving about 10 minutes after leaving the rest stop because there was 10 miles of traffic due to a bad accident??? Right, so here I am, pooping my insides out, through my clothes, up to my neck, screaming at the top of my lungs cuz it hurt so bad, and daddy couldnt even move the car in any direction since we were stuck in traffic for 1.5 hrs!!!!!!!!!!!! I had no choice but to take that long nap after I was done pooping, without being changed.
Although we finally got out of that traffic an hour and half later, I was sleeping so they didnt want to wake me. They drove and drove, on what was the most boring road in history of roads, until I woke up (all smiles no doubt!). Once I woke up, we were in Syracuse. BUT, it doesnt end there. Now, I know I am little and have a lot of things to see and do, but I have already seen snow a few times before. Its that pretty white stuff that falls from the sky when its really cold out. But, my mommy hadnt ever seen snow like this!!! It was something daddy kept calling a white out?? Not sure what that means, but I could barely see out the window in front of us there was so much snow falling from the sky. By this time, we had been travelling for hours and wasnt even close to where we needed to be, and all I know is that I had pooped like you would not believe a while ago and needed a new diaper. So naturally, I needed a new diaper. Mommy said she needed one if my diapers too, since she almost pooped in her pants (since she was so nervous). After 45 minutes of the white out we finally found a rest area. Mommy AND Daddy took me to the bathroom, stripped off all my clothes and changed me from head to toe in the girls bathroom. I didnt like it much but it did feel better than all that poop. So we quickly got some food for daddy and got right back into that snowy mess as we still had a long way to go (an hour and half to be exact).
After 9 long hours (of a trip that usually takes 5) we got to Grandmas house. She was so excited to see me, but I was so tired from all the drama, and not to mention I was still recovering from the germies, I needed to go to sleep. We got settled in, and I hit my (travel) cribby.
The next day was fun, we played with all my fun toys, ate pancakes for breakfast and went shopping for the rest of the XMAS presents mommy didnt have a chance to buy at home since I was sick. While I napped in the stroller, mommy and daddy ate lunch at the mall, and then we went to see mommy and daddy's friends, Mark and Ellen for dinner. I had so much fun there since they have a doggy named Bella to play with and one of their son's (Andrew) was so much fun to play with (the other one wasnt home). He built me a tower out of my blocks over and over. They also got me a really cool tool set for XMAS that I just love!! We had a good time - and THEN, it happened. Daddy found the germies that I got rid of a few days earlier!!!! Not sure why he went and did that, but he started throwing up too! Oh my goodness, what a mess. We left as soon as he felt a little better, but before we got home to Grandmas, he had to stop the car and throw up again. Mommy put me to sleep that night, cuz daddy's germies lasted all night long. I'm not sure how this happened but those germies got back into my belly too and I woke up around midnight throwing up AGAIN!!!! A few times I threw up and I was so sad again. Daddy was sad. And GUESS WHAT happened next?? Grandma found the germies too!!!!!!!! Not sure how this all happened, but thankfully mommy didnt get the germies (she has been feeling really yucky in her belly but hasnt thrown up. How did she get so lucky? Maybe its my sister/brother in her belly that is protecting her?)
So, on Christmas Eve morning,we re-packed the car and started to head back to a healthier place - HOME in NJ! Daddy was still really really sad in his belly (and also because we would be missing all the XMAS festivities in Rochester), but he found the strength to make the trip home. I am so thankful he did because it was really not good for any of us to be in the same house sharing all those germies. We got home in 5 hours (like normal) since we went the 'right' way home. I was so happy to be there so I could sleep better in my cribby, daddy could get better in his own bed and we were close to mine and mommy's doctors JUST IN CASE. Mommy was really nervous that I 'relapsed' so quickly but I think it was the right place to be. Grandma gave me some of my presents to open on XMAS morning....it wasnt the same as being there with her, but it sure was nice of her to buy me stuff! (Thanks Grandma, and I hope your feeling better and getting rid of all those germies).
Christmas 2008 was not all it was cracked up to be. I am so sad that daddy didnt get to be in Rochester for the holiday (the first time EVER! Sorry Daddy!) and I'm even more sad that me, daddy and Grandma were so sickies. I hope those germies dont ever find any of us again :) Like daddy has been saying, the good thing about all this is that Christmas comes every year! To all of you that didnt have any germies, I hope Santa was good to you this year and you had fun with your family.

ER is a great show, but not a great place to visit
Well, I lasted 18 months without a trip to the emergency room, but sadly enough, I did have to take a trip there on Saturday December 20, 2008. My belly was hurting me really badly that day, enough to make me throw up repeatedly for over 12 hours. I threw up so much, that my mommy and daddy told me that a special doctor needed to see me to make me feel all better. They told me that this doctor was at the hospital and that he would give me special 'juice' to put all the liquid back in my belly that I got rid of. All I know, is that I was really really sad that day and I even threw up the inside of my belly. I was soooo tired and sooo unhappy that I just didnt want to do anything but be in my mommy and daddy's arms that day. We had to wait a realllllllllly long time to see that special doctor on Saturday, but when we finally did, my mommy and daddy were right. I started to feel much better. While we were waiting, I threw up a bunch more times, but then I got that 'juice' and started to feel better. That juice was so special, I couldnt drink it right away, they had to put it in a tube in my hand. Now, I gotta tell ya, I hated that it was in my hand, and I tried to pull it out a bunch of times, but at least it was doing what it was supposed to do. I did get to wear a cool little gown while I was there and watch Thomas, Elmo and Sesame Street movies while I was waiting for the 'juice'to work, which was pretty cool. Once I spent a few hours there with the juice in my hand, the special doctor told my mommy that she had to feed me the juice in my mouth every ten minutes for 2 hrs. Now, I was so tired, I fell asleep, but mommy and daddy took turns feeding me the juice while I was sleeping. I think I was a really good boy because I didnt throw up any more after that. The nice doctor finally told us that we could go home to my cribby and I could sleep there all night if I wanted to since I was such a good boy. So, we left that hospital (finally) and I went home to sleep (after having more juice in the car and at home) in my cribby. I slept the whole night!!!! No more germies!! Hooray. In the morning, when I woke up, i was STARVING and THIRSTY. I even pooped and peed over night which my mommy was really excited about. I had to have a lot more of that special juice (aka Pedialyte) throughout the day and I got to eat some crackers and pretzels after my afternoon nap. I think I was starting to feel a little better. (the story goes on....)

Emersyn's 2nd Birthday party
My best favorite little cousin turned two on Oct 7 and she had the greatest party!! Titi got a special school bus to come to the house and it had no seats in it!!! Only toys and to tumble around on. She also got a blow up bounce house for her bday and I loved going on it- my favorite thing to do is jump all around and fall on my tushie. We got to go on the slide out of the back of the bus, tumble and sing inside the bus and of course eat lots of good food including the cake. Special birthday cupcakes for my cousin Emrsyn and all her friends (daddy even go to eat one, shhh!). Titi also made a craft project for us - we got to decorate our own hangars. It was a lot of fun. Take a look:

My first date @ Central Park Zoo, sorta
Jordana and I went our first date this August (ok so it wasnt a solo date, but we still had a nice day out with our parents). We went to the Central Park Zoo in NYC and we saw all kinds of great animals and fishies. At one point, we saw these things on the ground that looked like food - I'm pretty sure its not something I would like but I tried to put it in my mouth anyway. It seems that the Goats liked it a lot better than me ;) We even got to see a Polar Bear. They stayed in the water a lot since it was so hot out that day and where they come from, I dont think its that hot. We had a really nice time that day.

Introducing my new little cousin, Jonah Alex
Halloween - Big Boy style

Halloween was so much fun and overwhelming at the same time. :) First at school we got dressed in our costumes and had a parade so all the friends and family could take our pictures. It was a lot of fun, but I didnt want to walk around too much. I just wanted mommy to hold me. It was snack time so I was really hungry, too. Then we went home to our house and they closed the streets to all the cars so all the kids could run around and go trick or treating. And the best part was that this year I was finally big enough to go trick or treating like all the big kids!! I couldnt believe how much fun it was. I had all my friends over- Jordana (cheerleader), Jake (monkey), Giacomo(Raggedy Andy), Juliana (Raggeday Anne - not pictured), and of course Emmy (ballerina) and Jonah (not pictured). We went parading through the streets and then I got to go up to the houses for treats. We even saw a doggy in a costume that I just loved to touch. I got really tired really quickly, and even threw a few tantrums in the streets so we went home to get ready for the pizza party. It was so much fun to have everyone over. Halloween was great!!!

Ridin along in my automobile... OK, so its not a car, but it's still FUN!

This summer was filled with fun and exciting adventures as you can see from my Blog. One of my favorite new things to do was to go on the rides. Since it was so hot most of the days in August, we couldnt stay outside long enough to play, unless we were in the water. Sometimes we went to this great big place with lots of stores and I think the people that own that place got real smart by adding some rides for those of us that dont have jobs and cant make any money (aka ME!). There was a real-life choo choo train, that I got to ride on. Since my head didnt reach the giraffe's head, my daddy had to come with me. Mommy wanted to go real bad, but the sign said "No Pregnant Women Allowed on the Train". I guess they dont want any babies on the train since they make so much noise ;O Right next to the train was a Carosel. There were lots of horses on that carosel and they let you ride on their backs. They even go round and round in circles and up and down to the music. That was really scary at first, but once we went around a few times, I got the hang of it. But, because we went a little fast, I couldnt find my mom, who was on the side trying to take come pictures. But she took some real cute shots of me anyway. See for yourself

Sesame Place Aug 2008

This summer we took a trip to this amazing place with a whole bunch of characters walking around that I recognize from TV. The place was called Sesame Place and I got to see Ernie, Bert, Elmo and Big Bird up close!!! It was so cool. We went swimming in Big Bird's Birdbath and flew on some airplanes. I had so much fun with Emmy, Jake and Giacomo. I hope we can go back again soon....
Summer 2008
This summer has been absolutely amazing and full of lots of fun things we did. I spent a LOT of time in the pool since I love the water so very much. Its a lot colder than the bath tub, when its so hot outside I really love it. I have my very own pool in our backyard that I play in all the time, but we also go to the 'big boy' pool in our neighborhood a lot, too. I know I am going to be a good swimmer when I am a little older, I can feel it. I am so good at kicking my feet and making lots of splashes. I even try to put my face in the water (but then I get scared so I pretend I dont I like it). Poppi comes over and takes me to the big boy pool and throws we up in the sky and I love love love it. It is so much fun to just be outside and run around. One of my favorite things to do in the backyard is hit the baseball with the bat (with my daddy's help). He's rally good at it, and I know I will be too. My other very best favorite thing to do is kick the ball (any ball I can find) all around - like I am playing every position on a soccer field. Everyone tells me I am so good at that, so maybe I'll play on a team when I am big boy. Barbara even helps me climb on the rock wall on my play set. Its really hard but one day I'll be able to do it all by myself.
Here are a few pictures of my summer experiences:

So freakin adorable...in that devilish way
My First Birthday
On June 19, I turned 1 year old. I started walking just before my birthday (mommy and daddy were so proud)!! It seems that everyone was so excited to celebrate my birthday because we had a bunch of different parties with lots and lots of balloons that I absolutely loved to play with. One was on my special day with just mommy, daddy, titi, emmy, uncle and nonni, another was with all my friends and the music lady (aka the friend party) and another was with all of mommy and daddy's family (aka the family party). At the music party, we sang all sorts of great songs by Music Together and play instruments real, real loud!!! We gathered in our basement and got to play and run around during the music part. It was so hot outside that day, but we still got to go out in the backyard and run around. I think I liked that part more than the adults!! At our family party, Uncle Tom, Aunt Betsy, Grandma and my cousins Brandon and Colin from Rochester were able to come and play.
Here are a few of my favorite pics from the celebrations.

Moose A Moose

Even though I dont watch a lot of TV because Mommy doesnt think its a good idea ( I tend to disagree!) when I do, my very best favorite is Moose A Moose and Zee on Noggin. Now, its not a TV show, they are the two little guys that come on in between all of the shows. They sing about the animals, flowers and bugs that are outside. They teach me how to say words in another language, how to count, and how to say my colors. Mommy and Daddy move me away from the TV back to the tables or toys that I can lean on so I can see better, but it is much more fun to look up at him. I cant explain it, really, it just is :)
Early Spring Swinging...

Mommy and Barbara took me to the park in early March, on one of the warmer days, and I went on the swings.Emmy and Auntie Courtney were there too. It is so much fun - the movement makes me even sleepy, I love the air and looking around at all the kids, the doggies and the trees. I can't wait for the weather to get warmer so we can come to the park all the time. Gradnma Sharon even gave me my very own swing that I hope Daddy puts up in the backyard soon!!! Thanks Grandma.
Gotta Wear Shades

Spring has Sprung!!
Its finally springtime!!! Goodbye snow jackets, hats and gloves; Hello swings, shorts and sunglasses--Yippee!! I love being able to go outside everyday. Barbara takes me for a long walk, and we see the dogs out for a walk also. We talk to the trees and flowers along the way. The squirrels and birds running around always give me a little chuckle. Of course, going to the park and swinging is the best part of the day.

Now that I'm 10 months old, I eat lots of delicious food like a big boy - grilled cheese sandwiches, yogurt, cottage cheese, hot dogs, ravioli, tons of fruit like grapes, watermelon and plums, but I gotta tell ya, I'm really not diggin those green veggies anymore. Mommy really tries to get me to eat them and I can sometimes tolerate peas now that I can pick them up by myself, but I when she's not looking I spit them out :) Shhhhhhh!! Mommy got this new book called "Deceptively Delicious" and she reads it all the time, so something tells me that she is learning a new way to get those green veggies into my mouth one way or another!!!

Easter 2008

Easter came early this year - We travelled to Rochester to see my family that lives far away in the middle of march. Man, that was a long car ride. Thank goodness Mommy and Daddy were smart enough to buy a video screen for the car so I can watch my cartoons for a little while. At least it was a little distraction!! We had fun seeing everyone up there and I even got dressed up for the occasion. Take a look at my jacket. We got to take home chocolate Easter bunnies too. YUMMY (someday I will eat those!) While I was up there I got to meet two new little friends- Zach and Lily Wake. They are mommy and daddy's friends children and I had so much fun playing with them. Zach and I are buddies- he taught me how to be a big boy like him (he's 4). Lily was funny too, she was shaking her booty and saying lots of fun things. Thanks for letting me play with all your toys while we were there. I had so much fun and cant wait to see you again.
My Gym

So now that I am a big boy (my 10 month birthday just passed, ya know), I thought I would share my pictures of all my friends at My Gym. Mommy and Daddy take me to this fun place where I can climb, swing, explore and meet new friends all the while I am toning my muscles :) I am really, really good at climbing the steps, balancing on the plank, playing with all the rubber balls (of course trying taste every one of them, too) and swinging from the highbars. Nothing scares me, and I cant wait till I am a little bigger and I can climb that rock wall. It looks soo tempting now, but mommy and daddy say I'm still too little. Someday soon, I'll prove them wrong.
When I go to My Gym I get to see my friend Jordana who also lives around the corner from me and my buddy Dylan. We play around all the time together.
The tunnel is the absolute best part. Once I get to one side all by myself, I turn around and go right through to the other side. Its the best!!! The teachers there bring out the swings and we get to fly around on dolphins and airplanes. At the end of the session, we get to play all by ourselves while the mommies and daddies can only sit back and watch. The teachers show us blocks, balls, and bubbles, they sing to us too. When I leave there, I am good and ready for naptime. Its hard work being a big boy! I hope mommy and daddy let me come to MyGym forever. Pretty soon, I'll be able to walk without holding on to something or someone and it will be like a whole new place for me to explore.
Rub a Dub Dub

Thought I would share some great photos of me in the Bathtub. The first one is when I was younger (HAHA) and I couldnt move around as well. Now that I am such a big boy I can sit all by myself. See?!?!? It is so much fun in the bath, I REALLY LIKE to splash around and crawl from end to end. I splash so much, I even get mommy all wet!! She loves when I do that. I especially love to play with my basketball hoop and also see how many of the letters and numbers floating around in the water I can put in my mouth.
Whaddayathink of my cool bathrobe? It says my name on it so mommy and daddy wont try to wear it. I make a fuss when Mommy says its time to get out, but I just cant help myself. The water is so warm and I love to be in it. I even let Mommy wash my hair and wipe my face! (which ordinarily I just dont like, unless I am in the tub). Mommy makes a waterfall out of this big cup and I splish splash in it over and over. Since its the springtime now, and I will be outside playing more, Mommy said I have to take more frequent baths so I can stay clean and "wipe the outside off". Yeah for Springtime!!

Happy New Year
Another year, another Party!!!!!!!!! Ok, well, for me, it was my first New Year and it was a ton of fun. Mommy and Daddy took me to the Poconos in PA to spend time with Auntie, Uncle and Emmy. It was very snowy up there but I didnt have any snow pants to go an d play. I watched Emmy fall down in all the snow- she couldnt even walk in it because it was up to her belly button.
Here's a few photos of our exciting weekend!!
